The army chief, who was addressing a seminar here, said that appreciation of the world powers for the CPEC “raised many eyebrows” of those “competing for influence in the region”.

Stressing the importance of the economic corridor project, he said the $46 billion project was a reflection of friendship between Pakistan and China.
General Sharif said that that officials concerned will move the cargo from China to Gwadar this year, adding that army engineers were working on the infrastructure of the project.
