ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has invited the party workers on Tuesday for ‘Youme-Tashakkur rally’ (thanksgiving rally) at Parade Ground on November 2 after the decision of Supreme Court (SC).
Talking to media in Bani Gala, Imran Khan said that he is happy with the verdict of SC regarding launching proceeding in Panama Leaks issue from Thursday. He said that PTI had knocked every possible gate and eventually after being denied justice approached people. He said that shutting down Islamabad was only option left to force the PM to either resign or present himself for accountability.
He appreciated the decision of SC and saluted the judicial authorities for holding PM accountable. “Since Supreme Court has already started investigations, they asked us to call off protest, so we will abide by that”, said Khan. He also thanked his supporters in Swabi and asked them to go back, take rest and return to Islamabad tomorrow at Parade Ground for celebrations. He said we will file case against Chief Minister Punjab if death of any worker confirmed.
PTI chief also felicitated the workers over the directives of Lahore High Court (LHC) regarding removal of all the barriers and containers impounded on the roads leading to Islamabad. Imran Khan said that Punjab police assaulted and exposed to life threat our minister Ali Amin Gandapur while several workers were also sustained wounds in Monday clash.
