Kohistan: Eight people drowned in river Indus after the bus carrying them to Rawalpindi fell into a river in the area of Patan here. Police said that passenger coaster was coming from Kohistan to Rawalpindi, but due to over speeding it plunged into the River Indus. As a result, eight people swept away in the river waves and drowned. However, dead bodies of five have been recovered with the help of locals while the search continues for the other three victims. Police said dead bodies were shifted to nearby hospital for medico –legal formalities.
